Results of discussion of proposals


    • hiring a Departmental Human Resources Manager and discontinuing the Administrative Services Supervisor position
    • directing the Procurement Department to ensure that the next contract for transcription services secures the right for the City Commissioners to post transcripts on line, for free public download
    • implementation of certain recommendations from the reports on the November, 2012, elections
    • putting out a small purchase order for a web developer to build a new website

Not Approved:

    • allowing the Civil Service Commission staff to run EEO trainings for employees of the Office of City Commissioners and the Board of Elections [Commissioner Clark reported that these trainings were already being scheduled.]
    • allowing the Civil Service Commission to do an audit of civil service jobs and work with the City Commissioners to make changes to job descriptions as appropriate
    • working with the Office of Innovation and Technology to provide polling place locations, voter registration statistics, election results and election turnout data to the Office of Information Technology for public dissemination
    • reducing the processing interval for mailing poll worker payments to no more than four weeks starting with the November 2013 election, and to no more than three weeks starting with the May 2014 election
    • posting on line, for free public download, all public meeting transcripts for meeetings held after 4/30/13
